U.S. Treasury Prepares To Rip-Off the u.S.

The American people are getting set-up for a major economic swindle by the U.S. Treasury as well as the Commodities (Mercantile) Exchange and due to economic ties, other freedom-loving people around the world will pay as well.

Based on first-hand interviews with numismatic, precious metal and circulation coin experts, Hour Of The Time has discovered the following alarming facts concerning precious metals in the u.S.

Today, December 15 2008 was reported to be the last shipments from the U.S. Mint for the year, no matter what their obligations or prior commitments were. They have also reportedly decreased their “allocations” to authorized U.S. Mint distributors by 70%, despite prior agreements or historical arrangements. As well, the U.S. Mint will no longer be minting fractional precious metal coins, thus eliminating a major segment of the investing public from participating in the exchange of lawful money.

As an aside, it should be noted that the Department of the Treasury is making a new run of quarter designs, which involve a very unique set of legal entities for the researcher.

The “Commodities Exchange”, as people in the trade call it, is now reported to be refusing to fill contractual obligations for payment of bond in precious metals. Let us look at an excerpt concerning gold from the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) for more insight into why gold is important to trade, stability and economic good;

“Gold
Perhaps no other market in the world has the universal appeal of the gold market. For centuries, gold has been coveted for its unique blend of rarity, beauty, and near indestructibility. Nations have embraced gold as a store of wealth and a medium of international exchange; individuals have sought to possess gold as insurance against the day-to-day uncertainties of paper money.

COMEX Division gold futures and options provide an important alternative to traditional means of investing in gold such as bullion, coins, and mining stocks.

Gold futures contracts are also valuable trading tools for commercial producers and users of the metal. Commercial concentrations of gold are found in widely distributed areas: in association with ores of copper and lead, in quartz veins, in the gravel of stream beds, and with pyrites (iron sulfide). Seawater contains astonishing quantities of gold, but its recovery is not economical.

The greatest early surge in gold refining followed the first voyage of Columbus. From 1492 to 1600, Central and South America and the Caribbean islands contributed significant quantities of gold to world commerce. Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, and Hispaniola contributed 61% of the world's newfound gold during the 17th century. In the 18th century, they supplied 80%.

Following the California gold discovery of 1848, North America became the world's major gold supplier; from 1850 to 1875, more gold was discovered than in the previous 350 years. By 1890, the gold fields of Alaska and the Yukon were the principal sources of supply and, shortly afterwards, discoveries in the African Transvaal indicated deposits that exceeded even these. Today, the principal gold producing countries include South Africa, the United States, Australia, Canada, China, Indonesia, and Russia.

The United States first assigned a formal monetary role for gold in 1792, when Congress put the nation's currency on a bimetallic standard, backing it with gold and silver.

During the Great Depression of the 1930s, most nations were forced to sever their currency from gold in an attempt to stabilize their economies.

Gold formally reentered the world's monetary system in 1944, when the Bretton Woods agreement fixed all the world's paper currencies in relation to the U.S. dollar which in turn was tied to gold. The agreement was in force until 1971, when President Nixon effectively cancelled it by ending the convertibility of the dollar into gold.

Today, gold prices float freely in accordance with supply and demand, responding quickly to political and economic events.

Gold is a vital industrial commodity. It is an excellent conductor of electricity, is extremely resistant to corrosion, and is one of the most chemically stable of the elements, making it critically important in electronics and other high-tech applications.

A broad cross-section of companies in the gold industry, from mining companies to fabricators of finished products, can use the COMEX Division gold futures and options contracts to hedge their price risk. Furthermore, gold has traditionally had a role in investment strategies, and gold futures and options can be found in investors' portfolios.”

Based on interviews with precious metals experts, the frightening realization is that they have less than 20% of the metals needed to fill their contractual agreements with investors. Therefore, they are now fulfilling these “agreements” with an exchange of Federal Reserve Notes rather than the agreed upon precious metal.

This is resulting in a further run on the supply of gold and silver in circulation, resulting in an artificial rise or “premium” on the prices. For example, a 30-year expert in the field of precious metals and coins who is listed on Dunn and Bradstreet, a provider of international and US business credit information and credit-reports, had the following to report.

1) Precious metal dollar coins have had such premiums added to their selling price as to increase their final selling prices by up to $70 FRN’s per-coin above market value. This has been greatly affected by investors desire to own precious metals, no matter the cost, because of fear of the strength of the U.S. Dollar.

2) 100-ounce silver bullion bars have been harboring up to $3 FRN’s per-ounce above current market value, thus resulting in an artificial propping of the U.S. dollar and artificial suppression on the real value of silver. This has been further exasperated by the shortcomings of commodity bond commitments along with skepticism of the solidity of the U.S. Dollar in the marketplace.

North Korea reported ready to fire more missiles

SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea has deployed more than 10 missiles on its west coast for what appears to be an imminent launch, a South Korean newspaper said on Thursday, two days after the North fired two short-range missiles into the Yellow Sea. It would be an unprecedented test if the North fired all of the surface-to-ship and ship-to-ship missiles, but intelligence sources quoted by the Chosun Ilbo paper said they thought the North may launch five to seven of them. The North has forbidden ships to sail in an area in the Yellow Sea until October 15 in preparation for the launch, an intelligence source told the paper. The North fired two missiles on Tuesday in routine military drills, South Korea's defence minister said on Wednesday. "If the North fires a large number of missiles, it would be difficult to see it as routine exercise," the source was quoted as saying.
