The Smart Way Out of a Foolish War

Obama has the official nod of the CFR and TLC. I could do a Veritas Exclusive on this, but I am sure most of you are quite informed on the matter and realize what happened here. With the following statement from Brzezinski, Obama just got the endorsement of the power elite.

“…destabilizing regional consequences of a war that the outgoing Bush administration started deliberately, justified demagogically and waged badly. (I write, of course, as a Democrat; while I prefer Sen. Barack Obama,…”

No presidential election for a long time has excited so much interest as this year's, outside and inside America. In personal terms, a black man, a woman and a septuagenarian war hero make most elections in most countries seem thin stuff. And yet the truth is that, while Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama slug it out in a popularity contest (or a competition in gaffes that may yet be disastrous for the Democrats), there's little to choose between them politically.

These pieces about feminism have elicited a bevy of response from women it has damaged and inflamed, authenticating my contention that feminism is far and away the worst of the crimes the conspiracy for world government has inflicted on our people. These are cris de coeur from women around the world. Here as promised are some of those comments, including the experience of women who now understand how they have been tricked. Only a tiny minority of drug trials on children have an independent safety monitoring committee to pick up potentially dangerous side-effects, a study has revealed.
Researchers from Nottingham University found that under 2% of the 739 international drug trials published between 1996 and 2002 had such committees of independent experts who would scrutinise data and warn, if necessary, that it was not safe to carry on.

He spends $469 a week on flour alone, up from $156 six months ago. Next month, he predicts the tab will grow to $625 a week. So far, he hasn't dared to raise prices out of concern that he'll lose business to rivals.

"anti-gun" biased historian debunked again

http://www.reason.com/news/show/28713.html

Bellesiles had flung his challenge at a political organization, but unfortunately for him it was the scholarly community that picked it up. The evidence he had presented for his groundbreaking theory was investigated first by experts from a range of disciplines and political viewpoints; then by a special symposium in a learned journal; and finally, as a result of the disturbing findings, by the professor's university and an outside panel of scholars that it appointed. The results are now in: Bellesiles' arguments are based on wholesale misuse of evidence and, in some cases, no evidence at all. The "invented tradition" is fact, the professor's version a folk tale.

When we uphold the rule of law, we are acting in our self-interest, not in the interest of criminals or terrorists. We can nail them with the rule of law, but if we destroy the rule of law, we make ourselves vulnerable to injustice. It's not just a terrorist who can be arrested and held incommunicado for an indefinite period of time. It's anybody the government thinks is a terrorist.

The continuation of the war in Iraq will end in disaster for this country. Parallels between the Roman Empire and our own are numerous, although our decline and fall will happen far quicker than that of Rome. The current financial crisis has awakened some to the perils that await us, but solutions that address the root of the problem and seek to fix it are nowhere to be found.

I bought a bird feeder.

I hung it on my back porch and filled it with seed.

What a beauty of a bird feeder it is as I fill it lovingly with seed.

Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the
continuous flow of free and easily accessible food.

But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio,
above the table, and next to the barbecue.

Then came the poop.

It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, the table ... everywhere!

Then some of the birds turned mean.

They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them
out of my own pocket.

And others birds were boisterous and loud.

They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day
and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch anymore.

So I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone.

I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all
over the patio.

Soon, the back yard was like it used to be ... quiet, serene and no one
demanding their rights to a free meal.

Now let's see .

Our government gives out free food, subsidized housing, free medical
care, and free education and allows anyone born here to be an automatic
citizen.

Then the illegals came by the tens of thousands.

Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for free services; small apartments
are housing 5 families; you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an
emergency room doctor; your child's 2nd grade class is behind other
schools because over half the class doesn't speak English.
Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to 'press one' to hear
my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than ' Old
Glory ' are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more
rights and free liberties.

Just my opinion, but maybe it's time for the government to take down the
bird feeder.
